We are the leaders when it comes to steering machines and gear, and we are one of the few accredited companies that are responsible for carrying out the steering gear inspection of your ship, which has to be done after every three years. We have qualified and experienced inspectors who inspect your steering system and advise any repairs or adjustments. After the necessary repairs are carried out, we also issue an IVR certificate.

Inspection

The first step of maintaining your steering gear is to inspect it for any damages or improper functions, and this can only be carried out by licensed and qualified inspectors who have sufficient knowledge of the inspection process and the requirements. Lucky for you, our highly trained and experienced inspectors are well-equipped to carry out the inspection process for your ship..

Identification

Our inspectors visit your ship at the time that has been discussed with you so that you are available and your operations don’t get impacted. They carry out the complete inspection of your steering machine and see if there is any damage or wear that needs to be corrected. They examine it closely, and also move it around to check for any improper or impaired movement. They also take an oil sample and examine it to see if it needs replacement.

Once they have examined the steering gear in every way possible, the inspectors note down their findings and report them to you. They also suggest or advise any repairs or adjustments that will allow the steering gear to work perfectly.

Certification

The next step requires completing the suggested repairs or adjustments to the steering gear on your ship. For this step, you can either have your workers or technicians perform the repairs, or you can outsource this responsibility to us. We are one of the largest shipyards in the country, with high-quality equipment and machinery that helps us complete all the required repairs in the least time possible.

If you choose to hire our services, we will make sure to get it done quickly. Once this step is completed, our inspectors check the steering gear once again to ensure that it is working properly. After this, you are issued an IVR certificate, which is valid for three years.

Moreover, if the steering gear is found to work properly and the oil sample also passes testing, you will be granted the IVR certificate without any of the corresponding steps.
